Lynne’s long-time love of yoga led her to open SYB, where she hopes others will come to grow and develop their own personal practice. Beginning with Power Yoga classes which suited her desire to stay challenged in her workout routine, she gradually expanded her knowledge by studying Iyengar yoga. Deeply rooted in alignment principles, this practice allowed Lynne to cultivate a greater understanding of how yoga works. During the last 20+ years, Lynne has studied with Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Adam Whiting, Doug Keller, David Life and Sharon Gannon, Bobbi Goldin, and many others. Her varied experiences on the mat provide her students with a well-rounded practice based on proper alignment. Reading about yoga and its history, attending workshops and trainings, and teaching classes daily keep her invested in her personal practice while giving her the tools she needs to impart that knowledge to her students. Lynne's desire is to create a welcoming space where you get on your mat and immediately feel you’re part of our amazing yoga family. The best gift she can give you is the sense that yoga is a way of life, not just exercise - and an understanding that anyone can do yoga!. When she’s not on the mat, Lynne enjoys spending time with her husband, children and 4 grandkids, curling up with a good book or movie, listening to amazing music (and dancing around the kitchen)…and giving her cat, Kaboodle, plenty of scratches.
Lynne teaches Dynamic Yoga Flow, All Levels Yoga Flow, Gentle Yoga, Yoga for Strength/Balance/Flexibility, and Yin Yoga. She is accepting private clients.
