Sara’s journey to yoga began before she even realized the destination WAS yoga. Living in New York City, working 80-hour weeks in the Fashion Industry, she sought refuge and solace from the high-stress environment within the poetry and writings of Rumi, Thich Nhat Hahn, Pema Chodron, and Jon Kabat-Zinn. Knowing something had to change, she boldly left Manhattan behind and moved to Savannah to create a new life. Immersing herself into a dedicated personal yoga practice, she sought to learn more about the philosophy and mystery behind yoga and its teachings. This curiosity for knowledge and truth led her to complete a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2012, and she knew she had found her life’s purpose. She is currently working toward her 500 certification with Alanna Kaivalya. Sara’s classes offer up music, joy, humor, and a grounded intention so her students may explore their own practice without judgment. Her yoga classes combine a flowing asana practice with deep static poses; the sequencing is fun and challenging, yet compassionate and accessible for all levels. Sara’s hope is that students find their own joy within and mindfulness in their own practice and carry that into their daily lives off the mat.
Sara teaches All Levels Dynamic Yoga Flow and Restorative Yoga. She is currently accepting private clients.
